Day 6 In Japan
Day 6 we paid our respects to past family members and enjoyed the fall colors in the northern Kanto region of Japan.
The morning was brisk as we made our way to the nearby train station. Our trip was an hour by train to nearby Yoshimi, Saitama.
After arriving we paid our respects at a nearby shrine. The walk to and from the shrine was lined with beautiful fall colors.
After we stopped and had lunch. Washing it down with local favorites
The weather cooperated with us on our day. The sun was bright and made the day fun and enjoyable.
We visited Yoshimi Hyakketsu, a cluster of Kufun period caves used as graves.
We explored the caves and climbed the stairs to the top where we were happilty met by more fall folliage.
As the day drew to a close we made our way back to the train station for the trip home. A glimps of Mt. Fuji san off in the distance capped off the day.
After the train ride back home, we arrived at the station. The sun setting on another fun and unforgettable day.
