Day 3 In Japan
From the glitz of Ginza to the back alleys of Kabukicho.
We started our day out in the high end shopping district called Ginza. Brands such as Prada, Channel, Louis Vuitton, Rolex to name a few. Including Chaumet, where we stopped to have our wedding bands cleaned.
After circling the block a couple times, we finally found a good parking space, afterwards we went shopping!
Sushi was on the agenda for lunch, however we learned that it was reservation only which we sadly did not have. Ramen was the next best thing.
Lots of shopping and walking later, we headed to our hotel where we checked in and were surprised to see our new neighbor out the window.
After a rest, we descended from our room to the small alleyways that were filled with bustling izakayas.
Most of the places here served only a handful of patrons at one time.
These back alleys are some of my favorite places to photograph. The colors and stories they tell are fascinating.
Another example of the meter wide alley hidden away in the maze of resturaunts.
Only a short walk around the corner from the quiet and dark alleyways you are greeted by the sounds and bright lights of Kabukicho.
A long and fun day of shopping and sightseeing comes to a close and so does our third day in Japan. I hope you are enjoying this blog and I hope to write to you all tomorrow.
